Very Special Arts is a philanthropic arm of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Founded by Jean Kennedy Smith, the program provides training to physically and mentally challenged children and adults with a passion for dance, music, theatre and painting. A Very Special Arts Story shines a spotlight on some of these participants who have developed their talent well beyond anyone’s imagination with the help of some of the world’s best known celebrities.
